2008 represented the 5th Anniversary of Day Of The Hog
(DOTH). More money was raised than ever for Jerry's Kids - the Muscular
Dystrophy Association (MDA), raising our cumulative DOTH total to over 1/4
million dollars. Our 2008 total ranked as the 14th largest H-D/MDA
fundraiser in the United States. While this is fantastic, we are not resting
until we are #1.

Observation Ride
The committee understands that many of our members
have business commitments on Friday. However, perhaps if one has a
"free" afternoon, or maybe an extended "lunch break," you
may want to stop by and enter the first DOTH Observation Ride. Entries are
$5 each; 50% of the entry fee goes directly to MDA. The other 50% will be
held in the Observation Ride Benefit Fund to be awarded as follows: 25% to 1st
place among the Observation Ride entrants, 15% to 2nd place, and 10% to 3rd
place. The more entrants, the larger the contribution to MDA, and, more
importantly, the larger the benefit fund that you could stake a claim to!
Entries on sale at Dillon's H-D Omaha showroom from 10:00am to 3:30pm. Click

Departing Dillon Brothers' Harley-Davidson in Omaha at
6:30 pm, we hope to start a brand-new DOTH tradition by parading, as a group,
behind our 2009 Raffle Bike. This
year's parade will end in Bennington
just in time for you to enjoy their "Back To The Future" Street
Dance. Join us and let the Omaha
metro-area see both what they could win and how much fun they could have."Back
To The Future" Street Dance
We have hooked on to the theme, "Back To The
Future" for our first ever parade, because we really are going back to where DOTH
began five years ago - Bennington, NE. Our parade route will terminate on
2nd Avenue between Molley Street and Stark Street, which will be blocked off by
our partners in Bennington to welcome EVHOG back to their very first DOTH venue
for a "homecoming" party. From 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm you will be able to:
- Take advantage of food and drink specials at sponsoring businesses in
Bennington,
- Visit the vendors who are planning to join the
party in
Bennington on Friday evening,
- Get (or sell) your last few tickets for the
2009 Raffle Road King, which will be clearly visible in the intersection of 2nd
and Stark,
- Enjoy a dance with outdoor DJ music provided by the Music Maniac,
- Visit the monthly custom-car show (the 3rd Friday of every month) up the
street at Cubby's, on the southwest corner of 156th Street and NE 36, or
- Just
catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
Winners of the Observation
Ride will be announced in Bennington, and one MUST BE PRESENT, IN BENNINGTON, TO
WIN. No charge for this event; your free-will offering to MDA is all that
is greatly appreciated. Watch this space for more details!
